Eileen Howard in Holiday Cabaret at the Snow Angel Palace (aka Memorial Hall), Stone
Mountain Park. Half-hour shows run 4, 5, 7, 8 & 9 – Wild women don’t have no blues. Eileen Howard has the entertainment flair of an actress and the gift of telling a story with every word. Her concerts combine wickedly funny selections from classic Blues, little known gems, passionate ballads and original compositions. Her blend of meaningful interpretation of lyrics, quirky bits of music history, audience participation, and comic abilities equal sheer fun for audiences.

For the 11th year, Jeffrey Bützer and T.T. Mahony with Mike Beshera and a small chorus of guest singers will perform Guaraldi’s score to A Charlie Brown Christmas with a spirit only fitting of Charlie Brown himself. By relying both on an honest presentation of Guaraldi’s intentions for the record and enough improvisation to keep their jazz credibility in check, the trio are in finer form each year. There is perhaps no better Christmas album than this 40-minute score featuring all the hushed, memorable, but often melancholy undertones that define the holiday. And there is perhaps no better band performing it than Bützer, Mahony, and Beshera.

High South Band creates a feeling of warmth in their music and fills the audience’s ears with harmony. Their performances create a vision that is said to be “like a warm musical breeze that blows through California’s hills and canyons - across its mystical high desert and into the heart of America”. High South captures the essence of well-known bands - the Byrds, CSNY and the Eagles. The High South sound is a fusion of the poetry of the 60s in Greenwich Village and the harmony of the 70s in Laurel Canyon. The timelessness from the those eras, mixed together with a new millennium sensibility, produces music that is good for the heart and soul.

Mac Arnold is considered one of the greats in blues, soul and funk. Arnold’s extensive music career can be traced back to his first band in high school, which included the great Macon, Georgia, native James Brown, on piano. Arnold’s list of accolades includes touring and recording with the Muddy Waters Band, recording with Otis Spann and John Lee Hooker, and forming the Soul Invaders, which backed up great artists such as The Temptations and B.B. King. • Over the last 40 years, Roger “Hurricane” Wilson has been a musician, a singer, a songwriter, a record label owner/operator, an advisory board member of the Georgia Music Industry Association, an International Blues Competition judge, and a broadcaster on TV, radio, and the internet. He has played shows with B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Little Milton, John Mayall and Savoy Brown, to name just a few.

At 7:30 PM on January 11th, 2019, MadLife will host Banks & Shane for a party-filled evening of old-time rock n’ roll, folk, bluegrass, and country . Known as “Atlanta’s Entertainment Tradition”, Banks & Shane combines over forty years of experience with their talent, showmanship, and professionalism. The Banks & Shane band is comprised of Banks Burgess on banjo and guitar, Paul Shane on guitar and trombone, Chuck Shane on drums and bass, Jim Durand on electric and acoustic guitars, and Dennis Law on drums.
