Wet Willie at The Mill Amphitheater, Villa Rica – Wet Willie, after The Allman Brothers Band and Lynyrd Skynyrd, was the hardest-rocking of the Southern bands to come to national attention in the early '70s. For seven years, from 1971 until 1978, they produced an enviable array of albums awash in good-time music, rollicking high-energy blues-rock, and white Southern soul. The band had a Top Ten hit with "Keep On Smilin'" and several other chart toppers, including “Weekend,” “Airport” and “Dixie Rock,” and a lot of admirers. In contrast to The Allman Brothers Band, Wet Willie was a band closer in spirit to Booker T. & the MG's, much more steeped in sweaty, good-time R&B than the blues-rock of the label-mates The Allman Brothers Band or the country-rock of the Marshall Tucker Band. https://www.facebook.com/events/661239754328336/

MadLife Stage and Studios proudly announces a phenomenal blues rock band from Long Island, NY will be hitting our Stage with opener Kate Coleman and The Highbeams. At 7:00 PM on June 22nd, 2019, MadLife will host Wake the Sun for a killer night of blues-driven rock. New York native, Wake the Sun, rocks out with lead singer Dillon Mealey, bass guitarist Jeff Alvarado, drummer Marco Gill and guitarist Tom Perrotta. The band is collectively influenced by acid-washed, blues-driven rockers of the 1960's and 70's mixed with the more mainstream radio rockers of today. Kate Coleman has been going strong for eight years and counting. From 2011-2016, Kate and her husband performed in their bluesy-americana duo, ‘Kate and Corey’. The pair released two albums, several singles, and played all over the southeast. Kate Coleman released her first solo album titled, “Past”. Coleman has opened for Samantha Fish and Chuck Cannon.

At 3:00 PM on Sunday June 23rd, 2019, MadLife will host Atlanta Blues Society, as they present Red Sugar Blues for an afternoon of deep seeded sounds. This show does not require tickets, is free of charge, and is open to the public - ABS members and non-members alike. Red Sugar of the ‘Red Sugar Blues’ began her professional singing career in Detroit and Las Vegas, but paid her dues while singing the blues in Mississippi. Today, the sultry, stunning and talented petite vocalist beholds a voice that delivers mountainous sounds with both rawness and delicacy.
