“Cinematic Urban Music”. Elliot Holden coined the term after discovering that mixing his guitar sensibilities with a naturally “urban” flare unearthed a complex harmonic mixture rarely touched upon. Think Blade Runner, James Bond or the Matrix with a dash of Dr. Dre and Kanye West showered with sprinkles of Eric Johnson and Jimi Hendrix.
The soulful blues singer and multi-instrumentalist credits her musical gift to Gospel music like so many great soul singers before her. Tullie's musical journey started singing in church where her Daddy was a preacher, near the cotton fields and wetlands of the Blues. She played piano, drums, bass and guitar and early on assumed the role of choir director. Her artistic reputation grew within the Gospel community which led to touring professionally with Gospel groups.
Tullie's self-penned original material ranges from Delta Blues to Rock infused Contemporary Blues music that tells the stories of love, happiness, heartbreak, pain and life experiences. Tullie's love of people inspires and energizes her and in return the audience is touched by the magic that takes place during her time on stage. She has headlined several Blues festivals as well as shared the stage with blues legends and new blues stars. Tullie and her band are a power punch that always leaves you wanting more. Get "Tullie-ized"! Tullie is endorsed by Hammond Organ USA.

Performances feature a broad variety of blues styles including Southside and Westside Chicago blues, West Coast blues, Texas blues, and styles associated with Louisiana, Mississippi, and Memphis. Formed in the spring of 2011, Funky Bluester has been earning a reputation as a must-see live act. Drawing from influences in blues, jazz and R&B, the trio pumps out gritty, grinding, and swinging blues that hearken back to the roadhouses of Texas and the back alleys of Chicago. Powerful, stinging guitar and vocals by D.L. Peterson combined with the booming bass of Russell Boyer and the metronome-funk of the mighty Myles Mattison make Funky Bluester a force to be reckoned with.
In the summer of 2012, founding member Jonathan Gailey (vocals, slide guitar, & harmonica) hatched an idea for a project that would become Five Long Years. Upon creating a solid foundation of original songs and new approaches to classic blues and rock songs, it was time to find additional members for the band. In June of 2013, Howard Rasey was added on drums, and a couple of weeks later in July, Russ Thomas was added on bass. The lineup for Five Long Years was complete and forged ahead with one simple goal; to make good music, have fun doing it, and perform live. Five Long Years takes it's namesake from the classic Eddie Boyd song.

As soon as he began talking, Garrett Collins began singing. From when he was a young toddler singing in the children’s choir at church, singing solos at church, to performing on stage – music has been the driving force in making Garrett the young man he is today. Sharing that music with others comes naturally to this 17 year old singer/songwriter/musician from central Georgia. He puts his heart and soul into his performances, whether it’s a county fair, local bar or representing Georgia at the national level. Garrett currently performs his original music as well as covers the best of the Blues and even throws in some Southern Rock for good measure. If this guy is ever in your area, be sure to go see him, you won’t be disappointed.
Jontavious Willis, 19 years old, from Greenville, GA is a natural musician. His guitar remains in conversation with his smooth tenor throughout each song, so natural it feels like hearing a familiar song for the first time. He’s entirely self taught and steeped in the blues. He has watched every single video on the Music Maker YouTube account at least twice. He can recite names, dates and songs of each artist. He has absorbed all the blues information he can, and his enthusiasm for the genre is tremendous and his performances show this. We are pleased and proud to introduce the world to this young man with the spirit of all the old blues legends who came before him.
The Juke Joint Dukes take pride in playing old-school blues typically heard at urban juke joints in the 50s, 60s and 70s. They don’t try and reinvent the wheel because that’s called rock – so be ready for the blues. Their four-piece sound including harp is gritty, non-mechanical, and sometimes dirty. You might hear mellow, soulful tracks (intended to sell beer) or high-energy dance songs (intended to sell beer), depending on the crowd’s mood.
When David T & Friends hit the stage, be prepared to be entertained by a deep bench of talented musicians and original music that will keep your head bobbing and toes tapping. CODY MATLOCK may be young, but he has Blues in his soul. Playing the guitar came natural for him at the age of 13. Cody played “Little School Girl” and the stage called his name from then on. The Cazanovas saw him at a festival and took him under their wing. Cody has a way of making his guitar sing the Blues and now he sings with it as well. He has been influenced by Little G Weevil, Sean Costello, Gary Clark Jr., Albert King, B.B. King, Truett Lollis, and Freddy King. Cody has played with some amazing people and bands in the Atlanta area and now plays with his own band as well. Guitarist and songwriter, Roger “Hurricane” Wilson, was born on July 27, 1953 in Newark, New Jersey, but spent his formative years in a little town on the Jersey shore, which was virtually destroyed by the still legendary hurricane “Donna” in September 1960. Years later Roger would use term Hurricane in his stage name moniker. Roger began taking guitar lessons in 1963 at the age of 9 and learned to play trumpet and his favorite instrument at the time, the drums. In 1967, Roger was sent to a private prep school in Atlanta, where he would make weekly pilgrimages to Piedmont park to see bands play including the Allman Brothers Band. He went to see the Allmans play at the Municipal Auditorium on June 16, 1971, when he was 17, and stood 6 feet away from Duane Allman and was completely swept off his feet. He was never the same and from then on concentrated on playing the guitar as well as he could. Through his interest in Duane Allman, he began listening to some of Duane’s inspirations such as Robert Johnson, Willie McTell, and Elmore James and was smitten with the blues. He began teaching guitar in 1973 and still teaches to this day. He formed the Roger Wilson Band in 1978 and began opening for people like Albert Collins, 38 Special, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Albert Collins. In 1983 Roger formed a 3 piece unit called “Roger Wilson & the Low Overhead Band”. During this period Roger played with many artists including Dickey Betts, Little Feat, Three Dog Night, Leon Russell, Edgar Winter, Marshall Tucker Band, Roomful of Blues. After adopting the moniker Roger “Hurricane” Wilson, he played many festivals and shared the stage with B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Little Milton, John Mayall, and Savoy Brown, to name just a few. Every time he would be in New York, he would show up at the Iridium and jam with Les Paul. In recent years he has performed with Hubert Sumlin (Howlin’ Wolf Band) and he had a very successful collaboration with Willie Big Eyes Smith ( Muddy Waters Band). He has released several albums, formed his own record company, Bluestorm, is still giving guitar lessons and does work in the Blues in the Schools program in Jacksonville, FL and hopes to do the same in Atlanta. He records and performs both acoustic and electric, tours incessantly and is currently writing his autobiography entitled “Hurricane”.

Larry Griffith was brought up in the inner city of Cincinnati, Ohio by a single parent along with nine other siblings where Larry was saturated with the radio and vinyl record sounds of everything from blues, gospel, and soul, to jazz. In his teens, the family was able to upgrade to the Walnut Hills section of Cincinnati, which housed the legendary King Records. Seeing great artists in the neighborhood like Freddie King, Bill Doggett, Hank Ballard, Ivory Joe Hunter and even the Godfather of Soul himself James Brown was an ordinary occurrence and Larry’s first recording sessions as a drummer occurred here. Jimi Hendrix’s Band of Gypsys had a profound effect on Larry and he fell in lifelong love with the lyrical phasing of John Coltrane. Relocating to Atlanta, Georgia in the 1990s, Larry discovered then quickly became immersed in the thriving Atlanta blues scene becoming one of the top drummers in the region. Then in the early 2000’s, encouraged by a dream he had, Larry learned to play guitar and that allowed him to forge an alliance between his rich, eclectic song writing story telling style which included elements of blues, country, soul and rock with his gumbo approach to guitar and his highly engaging live stage performance. The result? You’ll have to check that out for yourself.

TRIBUTE ... a celebration of The Allman Brothers Band, is Atlanta's newest band, faithfully recreating the music of ABB. Assembling a formidable nine-piece lineup, Tribute spent four months in rehearsal in early 2013, focusing on music the Allman Brothers produced over their inspired first five years. The band began performing live in the late spring, drawing strong responses for its dual-lead guitar fury and an instinctive appreciation for how this music was originally written, recorded and then interpreted on stage. Comprised of veteran active musicians as well as some who returned to their instruments after hiatus, Tribute seeks to recreate that unique period in American rock, when psychedelia ebbed and ABB informed us what jazz, rock, country and blues could sound like.

The Cazanovas bring you their own incomparable "Kick Ass Blues" for each and every show, melding timeless blues style that every audience relates to with a fresh energy that keeps them hungry for more. And more they get... Well known blues standards are infused with new groove-driven power, and original tunes are immersed in musical passion and intensity, with lyrics that speak to the force of shared experience. The passion, energy and intensity from each member is apparent as what comes out is “music that is rooted in blues, but doesn't necessarily sound like a copy of something that we've heard before.”
With the release of their seventh album Black Cat Oil in 2012, Delta Moon expands upon the sound that has sold thousands of records and allowed them to play for thousands of fans worldwide over the past several years. And with a live show second-to-none, the dual slide guitars of Delta Moon carry the listener deep into the heart of the American South, where sinuous Mississippi blues meets the gritty backwoods twang of Appalachia and winds around a rock-steady beat like kudzu on a barbwire fence. Net Rhythms calls it “Music as it should be – raw and honest.” We call it Blues-Infused American Roots.
“Tom Gray and partner in crime Mark Johnson continue to show why they may be the best guitar tandem around.” – Chris Martin, The Examiner
