A wide variety of circumstances can cause the Atlanta Blues Society to welcome funds from charitable sources – like you!
We have three different funds from which we distribute resources and responses to particular needs in our musical community…

The first is our General Fund. This is the account from which we disperse funds for such things as Normal operating expenses, Monthly gatherings, Blues in the Schools, Atlanta Blues Challenge, Holiday Party, Special Musical events, etc.
The second is our Blue Flame Fund. Established in 2010, this fund exists for the sole purpose of providing financial relief for musicians with serious medical bills and without insurance.
The third is our newest addition: The Carlos Capote Music Scholarship Fund. Started as our way to memorialize our departed friend and one of our staunchest supporters. This fund was created to provide financial assistance to aspiring young Blues Musicians whose limited financial resources might prohibit them from attending a Blues music learning opportunity. This scholarship program is available for those under 21 to study their instrument of choice at reputable camps, seminars and workshop programs in Georgia. The scholarship does not fund individual lessons.
