Atlanta Musicians Emergency Relief Fund (AMERF)
AMERF exists in order to provide emergency aid to deserving professional musicians from among Atlanta’s musical community. The idea took root when the organizers of Atlanta’s 40-year tradition, the Inman Park Festival, agreed to let us solicit donations at the Festival in May, 2016. Those funds have enabled us to become a 501c3 non-profit corporation, and our ongoing purposes align with our Mission Statement.
AMERF Mission:
Create fund-raising opportunities and solicit donations in order to maintain a cash deposit reserve to be used for donations to musicians or to like-minded organizations.
Research and catalog a database of medical/financial/legal resources for use by individual musicians.
Continue to support live music and all those people who help make it.
Believe that music makes the world a better place.
Rely on volunteers and support from working musicians to keep us going.
Support and facilitate musical education for young Atlantans.
AMERF has limited amount of funds available to help individual Musical professionals in the greater Atlanta Area who have been affected by the viral crisis. If you could use some help with groceries or bills, please go to our website and look under the “SERVICES” tab. Click on “Financial Assistance” and find the bold link to “contact form”. This should be completed and sent back to us so we can qualify you as eligible. Also, if you would like to donate to the fund just click the “DONATE” button on the website.
