Shortly after Carlos Capote passed, your Board of Directors unanimously passed the recommendation that we should create a Music Scholarship In Carlos’ name,

Although we’ve got a few more i’s to dot in the process, we discovered a current need for one of our own, Logan Roach. Yes the Logan Roach who’s dad, Dana, drove him from Lula, GA to gatherings so he could play either guitar or drums. Logan is in the 11th grade now and wants to start a band and really play music. He is currently enrolled in the Atlanta Rock n’ Blues Camp. He would like to register for the summer sessions. However because of health issues in his family they are lacking the funding for him to do this.

Carlin and I talked about it to everyone at the Gathering on Sunday and several people asked about making a donation. If you would like to donate to help Logan, please send funds to our PayPal account: theatlantabluessociety@gmail.com. Designate it ABS and specify “for Logan” in the comment section. No one knows the future, but Logan has the potential of being the next rising star.
