ThunderGypsy’s Ladies of the Blues

THUNDERGYPSY is thrilled to be releasing its second album
– a tribute to the “Ladies of the Blues”.
Inspired by their participation in the Ida Cox Music Festival and the Women in Blues showcase at the IBC, THUNDERGYPSY wanted to honor some of their favorite Blues women. Their live show, “Ladies of the Blues” honors these women by sharing their songs and stories.
This album is a live recording of several of the songs that appear in the live stage show.
CDs submitted were evaluated using Blues Foundation criteria, listed in order of importance: 1. Blues Content; 2. Musical Performance; 3. Audio Quality and Production Value; 4. Professionalism and Visual Appearance of Cover Art and Design; and 5. Credits and Liner Notes. Judging for the Blues Foundation contest will be done by a panel Blues Music professionals. Finalists will be announced prior to the International Blues Challenge (IBC) and the winner will be announced at the IBC Finals.
