The Atlanta Blues Society (ABS) is excited to announce upcoming elections for the ABS Board of Directors!  Nominations are open to all ABS members (active for at least 1 year) who most importantly have the passion, time and dedication to lead and support our mission of the preservation and education of the Blues in Atlanta!  We need people to serve as officers, especially Treasurer and Secretary.  Elections will take place on Sunday February 18, 2024 during the Annual Members Meeting at Blind Willies.

We look forward to continued ABS growth and are in need of those willing to share varying special skills and experiences to take ABS to the next level and beyond during the committed 2-year Board Member term.

ABS wants and needs YOU and those with…

  • True passion for ABS and its mission
  • Time commitment to twice-monthly meetings including one (1) board meeting typically held via Zoom (may require periodic in-person attendance), and attendance (whenever possible) at each Monthly Membership Gathering and Jam*
  • Ability and willingness to serve as an officer of the Board and/or committee lead (e.g., President/Vice President, Memberships, Merchandise, Secretary, Treasurer, Public Relations/Social Media, Volunteers Coordinator, Blues in the School Liaison,  etc.)
  • A true “Get it done” and “Hands-on” attitude!

Any member wishing to run for the ABS Board of Directors is invited to submit a bio (including sharing the reason you desire to serve on the Board) and a picture to [email protected].  Bios and pictures will be shared with the membership during the voting process.   Deadline for submission is 12 noon on Sunday February 4, 2024.

*to accommodate the varied life styles and schedules of the Board, the majority communication is via frequent emails.
