The family of Sean Costello has shared with the Atlanta Blues Society a wonderful tribute to Sean.
The Vice President of Products for Gibson in Nashville has procured Sean’s iconic guitar, the 1953 Les Paul Gold Top. The guitar will be installed the weekend of August 9 into the “Vault” at Gibson in Nashville. There, it will reside with other guitars of note. While that alone is a great honor, the best part of the arrangement is that the guitar may be borrowed by artists touring in Nashville.
The family has kept Sean’s guitar in their care for the last 17 years, untouched. Although, it is an emotional decision to part with Sean’s constant companion, they realize that the guitar is meant to be played.
It is their hope that some of Sean’s friends will have the opportunity to experience playing the magic guitar that gave Sean’s music life, and his fans Joy.
Debbie, Bridget, Allison, and in memoriam, Glenn.
