The Atlanta Blues Society (ABS) is excited to announce upcoming elections for the ABS Board of Directors! Nominations are open to all ABS members (active for at least 1 year) who most importantly have the passion, time and dedication to lead and support our mission of the preservation and education of the Blues in Atlanta! Elections will take place on Sunday February 15, 2026 during the Annual Members Meeting at Blind Willies. Deadline for submission is 12 noon on Sunday February 8, 2026.

We look forward to continued ABS growth and are in need of those willing to share varying special skills, talents and experiences to take ABS to the next level and beyond during the committed 2-year Board Member term.

ABS wants and needs YOU and those with…

  • True passion for ABS and its mission
  • Time commitment to twice-monthly meetings including one (1) board meeting typically held via Zoom (may require periodic in-person attendance), and attendance (when possible) at each Monthly Membership Gathering and Jam
  • Ability and willingness to serve as an officer of the Board and/or Committee Lead (e.g. President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Membership Chair, Merchandise Chair, Public Relations/Social Media Chair, Volunteers Coordinator, Blues in the School Liaison, etc.)
  • A true “Get it done” and “Hands-on” attitude!

To accommodate the varied schedules of the Board, the majority of the communication is via frequent emails.

Bios and pictures will be shared with the ABS membership as part of the voting process on February 15, 2025 at Blind Willies.
