Alec James & the Blues Caravan
Alec James is a soulful and fiery guitar player who spent years playing the blues clubs in Connecticut and St. Louis with notable blues artists in the area. His journey in the blues took him to Atlanta about 10 years ago where he has proudly been playing in various blues clubs regularly. His playing incorporates the styles of the 3 kings, BB, Albert, and Freddie, Ronnie Earl, mixed with some jazzier influences like Pat Martino, Grant Green and Kenny Burrell. Alec’s band, the Blues Caravan, plays styles that range from deep Chicago blues to classic soul and even some jazz. Blues Caravan features the mighty Rachel Johnson on vocals. The group specializes in deep grooves and blues that get the house rocking! His first EP was released in 2024 and is titled “Samsara,” and features some instrumental originals with some deep blues cuts.
